We are a group of five MSW students who have put together a collection of resources specifically for social work professionals who work with children and adolescents. On this website, you will find information on issues impacting youth mental and physical health, including common mental illnesses, developmental disorders, and chronic health conditions. Under “Professional Roles,” you will learn more about the different types of social workers that interact with this population, as well as professional associations and educational resources. We have also included information on the recommended vaccines for children and teens, as well as a discussion on widespread vaccine misinformation. Lastly, you will find a case study of a 12 year-old Hispanic male facing intersecting issues related to vaccine education, childhood obesity, and the foster care system.
